Los Cabos & Cabo San Lucas Cafés

The sun, the beach, the ocean breeze in the early hours of the morning or at any time of day, if you are accompanied by a delightful coffee you are really enjoying life. Cabo San Lucas offers a delightful atmosphere and plenty of places where you can enjoy this aromatic drink.

Coffee was brought to Mexico at the end of the XVIII century, to the states of Veracruz, Morelos, Michoacan and Oaxaca. Generally, coffee is grown in tropical climates near the mountain. Mexico is the sixth largest world producer of coffee, offering around 4 million sacks of green coffee per year.

Mexican coffee has a sweet note, however, it contains a high amount of caffeine, which is why the drink can be very strong without being bitter. This combined with a warm coffee liqueur and the delightful sunset that is drawn on the tip of the Baja California peninsula, it’s an ideal pick-me-up to start the evening.

If you are a coffee lover do not forget to order a cup of “café de olla”, a typical coffee of Mexico, freshly ground and prepared in a clay pot with cinnamon, brown sugar and different spices that give it a very distinctive Mexican flavor.

In Mexico coffee is grown mainly in the states of Veracruz, Oaxaca and Chiapas, all are very good, but Mexican coffee lovers believe that the most exceptional coffee of all is that which is grown in Coatepec, Veracruz.
