Day of the Dead takes to the streets of downtown Cabo San Lucas on Sunday, November 1, 2026, when the third Catrin@s Parade sets off at 5:00 p.m. from the Pabellón Cultural de la República. The parade ends at Campo de Yenekamu, and the Los Cabos Tourism Board lists it as a free event.
The parade is organized by CANIRAC Los Cabos, the local chapter of Mexico’s national restaurant industry chamber. Its member restaurants and bars are the stars of the show: each one decorates a vehicle and parades with its staff dressed as catrinas and catrines, the elegant skeleton figures of Day of the Dead tradition. CANIRAC describes the parade as a tribute to those who are no longer with us.
Why it’s worth seeing
Los Cabos is a destination built largely around international visitors, and CANIRAC says this is one of the few events where the local community gets to show its own culture. Visitors enjoy the spectacle, and locals are proud to share it. The parade has the support of the Cabo San Lucas Volunteer Fire Department (Bomberos Voluntarios) and the Los Cabos municipal government.
