Cabo San Lucas is getting an official tourist information desk inside Plaza Puerto Paraíso, the big shopping center on the marina. The Los Cabos municipal government signed the agreement with the mall on October 14, 2026, and staff from the city’s Tourism Department will answer visitors’ questions in English and Spanish.
What the desk will offer
According to the municipality, the module will give bilingual orientation on routes, places of interest, recommendations and events happening around Los Cabos. The idea is simple: put reliable information where the visitors already are, and Puerto Paraíso is one of the busiest spots in town.
That matters more than it sounds. Walk along the marina and within minutes you’ll be offered boat rides, tours and maybe a timeshare presentation or two. As the Gringo Gazette points out, a desk run by municipal staff isn’t there to sell you a particular excursion, so it should be a good first stop when you want a straight answer about a beach, how to get somewhere or what’s on this week.
When will it open?
That hasn’t been announced yet. The municipality says it will install the module, but so far it hasn’t published an opening date or hours. Municipal Tourism Director Ana Gabriela Navarro González added that the agreement opens the door to similar information points with other private businesses, so this may not be the only one.
In the meantime, our guide to Plaza Puerto Paraíso shows you where the mall is, the Cabo San Lucas marina page covers the waterfront around it, and our Los Cabos events calendar lists what happens through the year.
