Marina Cabo San Lucas

Marina Cabo San Lucas is an Island Global Yachting (IGY) luxury marina. In 2013, it won the International Marina of the Year Award by the Yacht Harbour Association. IGY is a private company that acquires, manages, and services luxury yacht marinas throughout the world. IGY operates an elite 13 marinas in the Caribbean and the Americas, catering to sportfishers, cruisers, and sailing and motor yachts. IGY marinas are also the exclusive home ports for some of the world's largest megayachts. IGY participates in 10 of the world's largest sportfishing tournaments, including world class sportfishing tournaments for marlin, tuna, dorado, and wahoo at Marina Cabo San Lucas.

Marina Cabo San Lucas won the 2013 International Marina of the Year Award as a result of recommendations from its customers regarding the excellent staff and immaculate facilities. The marina has 380 slips and can harbor vessels up to 375 feet in length. It has its own 40,000-gallon-per-day reverse osmosis desalination plant and state of the art fuel dock with gasoline and centrifuged diesel. The marina has a full service boatyard with a 75-ton travel lift for vessels up to 80 feet and a two-lane launch ramp.

Boats to the Arch from the Marina

The marina is Cabo San Lucas' hub for chartering a number of recreational activities, such as whale watching, snorkeling, or sunset cruises on Cabo Blue, a 48 foot sailing trimaran; scuba diving; parasailing, and glass bottom boat tours to The Arch. Click here for more details on additional recreational activities that you can do in Cabo San Lucas.

One of the greatest pleasures in life is to sit outside at the marina to have a few refreshments after being out on the ocean. There are over 50 restaurants along the Marina Cabo San Lucas offering a wide culinary variety. You can find floating bars, oyster bars, tiny taco shops, and gourmet restaurants. Nick-San, in Plaza de la Danza, provides imaginative sushi with fresh fish caught that day and has a Frommer's three star exceptional ranking. A Ruth's Chris Steak House is located in the marina. Captain Tony's Restaurant and Bar was ranked as having some of the best guacamole in town by TripAdvisor, and Monkey Business Bar was ranked has having one of the best margaritas in town as well.

Shrimp Cocktail

Shopping is just as diverse as the food at Marina Cabo San Lucas, from artisanal crafts and handmade clothing, to that little store with no name across from Señor Frogs with bright colored clothes, to high end jewelry, to fresh fashion finds in Puerto Paraiso. Luxury Avenue, a boutique mall, is also located in the Marina, where you can shop at Salvatore Ferragamo, Pandora, Tous etc. You can easily spend an entire day eating and shopping around the marina, without even setting foot on a boat.

Plaza Puerto Paraíso

The Cultural Pavilion of the Republic Los Cabos (Pabellón Cultural) is a 700-seat performing arts center located in the marina. Elite dance performances, concerts, operas, plays, and other performances can be seen here. Click here for upcoming events.

Marina de Cabo San Lucas is also host to the Circuito Cultural where artists display their local work from noon to around 10 pm and music and folkloric dance programs are held from 6 pm to 11 pm, every Saturday from October through July, and once a month in August and September. The event occurs along the Marina Boardwalk between Baja Cantina and the Cultural Pavilion.

Finally, if you are here for a couple of weeks, and just want a kickback, no frills evening, Plaza Puerto Paraiso has a Cinemex, a 10-movie theatre, with movies in English and Spanish.
