Since
the opening of the first championship golf
course at Palmilla in the early 1990s,
Los Cabos (Cabo San Lucas, San José del
Cabo and The Tourist Corridor) has quickly
grown to become Mexico’s
Golf Riviera. Now with seven exceptional
courses within an easy 20-mile drive in
the Tourist Corridor, golfers can tee off
just minutes from their hotel.
Golf at the The Raven, Cabo San Lucas Country Club
The Cabo San Lucas Country Club is a Roy Dye-designed, 745 acre, 18-hole golf masterpiece and lies just less than one mile outside of Cabo San Lucas. Cabo San Lucas Country Club is on sloping terrain facing the Sea of Cortez, with highlighted views of Land's End and Bahia San Lucas from each fairway and five tees for each hole (back, championship, member, forward, and front) for a variety of players levels. At 600 yards, (par 5), the seventh hole is commonly known as the longest in all of Mexico. The front nine is 3,651 yards (par 36), and the back nine is slightly longer at 3,659 yards (par 36). This course also has a modern
practice facility and one of the better club houses in Los Cabos.
Golf
Cabo Del Sol, Desert Course
Cabo del Sol is located approximately eight miles from Cabo San Lucas, along the Tourist Corridor and is the crown-jewel of the Koll Partners, Cabo del Sol Resort. The
golf course itself is currently the highest rated among Los Cabos and even Golf Digest once rated it as one of the 10 Ten courses in the world.
The
Desert Course at Cabo del Sol is a masterful Tom Weiskopf design, created in an inland layout with 180-degree views of the sea
from nearly every hole. The course varies in length from 5,300 to 7,100 yards, with five sets of tees making it comfortable for all levels of play. The design takes advantage of natural river washes, subtle changes in elevation and
dramatic bunkering, and spectacular peaks.
Cabo Real Golf Club
Cabo
Real Golf Club boasts some of the best,
18-hole, world-class golf for your pleasure
while in Los Cabos. Varying landscapes
of cactus, desert, Bermuda grass, and distant ocean views make for the spectacular
round and will surely impress. The 18-hole, par 72 Cabo Real Golf Course
stretches over more than 7,000 yards of verdant landscape. The first six
holes are in somewhat mountainous terrain, while most of the others lie along
the beach shoreline. Some of the challenges are carved out of two picturesque
canyons surrounded by trees, cacti and amazing rock formations that will leave
you breathless at each tee. Certainly, one of the finest golf courses in
all of Mexico.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. with three Ocean Front Holes. home to two Senior Slams, and a host of other prestigious
golf tournaments, Cabo Real offers one of the toughest front nine holes in Los Cabos. Its three spectacular ocean front
holes put Cabo Real on the world map of golf in 1996, when whales put on a spectacular show breaching just yards off-shore during the Senior Slam golf tournament. Long considered the favorite of many pros, Jack Nicklaus has also shown up to play.

Golf
at the Mayan Resorts Country Club
A nine-hole golf course located in San
Jose del Cabo is more challenging than many originally anticipate. Golf at
the Mayan is the most affordable play in Los Cabos, offers great restaurant
dining, and wonderful staff with bilingual personnel. The Mayan Resorts Group
recently purchased this property, renovating and enhancing the challenging,
nine-hole course with prospects of expansion in the future. Golfers
will definitely be pleased to see these future developments as the current
3,153 yard course possesses beautifully green Bermuda grass, has numerous
bunkers, blue lakes throughout, and is surrounded by one of the most serene
settings in all of San Jose del Cabo. Enjoy the
remodeled club house, sushi bar, or a margarita on the deck after a great round
of golf overlooking the San Jose del Cabo side of the Sea of Cortez.
