Sportfishing is the main attraction at the East Cape, and the region has gained international fame as the World Marlin Capital. The sportfishing fleet consists of 200 boats that can be booked by visitors in pursuit of the region’s most sought-after species: marlin, dorado, roosterfish, swordfish and sailfish, with the high season running from May and October.

The fabulous resort hotels stretching along the shore offer complete services for fishermen, with prices varying according to the season.

The latest novelty in the region is to fish while kayaking; this is just one more attraction in this fascinating corner of the Sea of Cortez.
