The Los Cabos Public Relations Association (ARPCA) today announced the Fourth Annual Los Cabos Rhythms, Colors and Flavors International Culinary Festival will be held December 1 to 8, 2007. ARPCA, together with the Los Cabos Hotel Association, the Los Cabos Restaurant Association (CANIRAC), the Los Cabos Concierge Association, the Chefs Association of Baja California Sur, Club Vatel and Municipality of Los Cabos will present three gala events during the weeklong festival. Proceeds will benefit the Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo fire departments and Red Cross.
The festival will officially open to the public on Friday, December 1 at 10 a.m. at Mision de San Jose’s Plaza Mijares in San Jose del Cabo. A gastronomy seminar will be held at the adjacent Cultural Center until 1 p.m. Admission is free.
The evening of Saturday, December 1, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the Los Cabos Restaurant Association and the Baja California Sur Chefs Association present a gala evening under the stars with cuisine from member restaurants, wines from Baja California’s Guadalupe Valley and a surprise live music performance at El Tule Beach, midway between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. A limited number of tables for ten are available for US $1,000 each.
On Friday, December 7, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at colonial Mission San Jose del Cabo’s Plaza Mijares, join in the fun as the Los Cabos Public Relations Association and the Los Cabos Concierge Association presents an evening of cultural events and fine cuisine from local restaurants, boutique hotels and gourmet purveyors in Los Cabos. Enjoy tequila and wine tasting, dance troupes, Mariachi music, art exhibits, and special presentations throughout the evening in a fiesta atmosphere. Admission: Adults US $40; children 4 to 10-years of age US $20; children under 4 admitted free with an adult.
Once again, the festival’s Grand Finale will be held in the spectacular desert setting of San Carlos Canyon on Saturday, December 8 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Lit with hundreds of torches and accompanied by lounge, live jazz and special musical guests, the Los Cabos Hotel Association and Club Vatel’s world class chefs will create a magical night to remember. More than 20 of the finest hotel restaurants will indulge your senses with tasting of superb seafood, prime cuts, and decadent desserts. Admission is US $60 per person; round trip transportation is included.
The Los Cabos Rhythms, Colors and Flavors International Culinary Festival was created in 2004 by the Los Cabos Public Relations Association to showcase the exceptional quality and variety of cuisine in Los Cabos, Mexico’s premier resort destination.
